San Joaquin River Stewardship Program
Canoeing & Kayaking Instruction Scholarships
Deadline: Ongoing
The San Joaquin River Stewardship Program has scholarships available for canoeing and kayaking instruction classes for schools and youth groups. The scholarships will pay all of the fees for a group of up to 25 take a class. Contact the Stewardship Program for more information. Contact Us.
5th Grade Field Trip Grants
Deadline: December of each year
The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District has grants available for 5th grade field trips. Schools must be located within the Flood Control District service area. Funds can be used for transportation. Contact Kristine Johnson: Kristinej@fresnofloodcontrol.org
CVS Caremark Community Grant Program
Deadline: Ongoing
CVS Caremark is committed to giving back to company communities
throughout the U.S. where CVS Caremark stores are located in order to
address the company’s vision of improving the quality of human life.
The CVS Caremark Community Grant Program awards funds to nonprofit
organizations that support children with disabilities, including
programs focusing on health and rehabilitation services, initiatives
that provide greater access to physical movement and play, and public
schools promoting a greater level of inclusion in student activities
and extracurricular programs. In addition, grants are provided to
programs that create greater access to healthcare services for
uninsured and under insured community residents. Grants of up to $5,000
are available. Applications may be submitted from January 1 to October
31 of each year. Online application information and funding guidelines

North Face Explore Fund Deadline: April 6, 2012

Our goal is to inspire and enable the next generation of explorers by funding non-profit organizations that are working to re-connect children with nature. We believe in the physical, emotional and social benefits of a healthy, active outdoor lifestyle, and that a strong connection with the outdoors will lead to greater support and protection of our natural landscapes.
The Explore Fund will support organizations that encourage
youth outdoor participation, focusing primarily on creating more
connections of children to nature, increasing access to both front
& backcountry recreation, as well as providing education
for both personal & environmental health. Grants will be given
up to $2,500,
